Picture this: you’re deep in the backcountry, miles from the nearest gas station, and your tank hits empty. That’s not a fun situation. A ROTOPAX Tank is a rotationally molded, portable fuel container built to mount securely to your UTV, Jeep, SXS, or any roll bar vehicle. It keeps extra fuel within reach without rattling around on the floor. TKO Clamping Systems, sells complete ROTOPAX Tank kits and mounting solutions designed to get your tank up, secured, and ready for whatever the trail throws at you.
Standard gas cans work fine in a garage. Out on the trail, they fall over, leak, and get in the way.
ROTOPAX Tanks are built differently. They use a patented 3-layer roto-molding process. That process creates thicker walls and stronger construction. The result is a container that resists leaks and handles real off-road abuse.
ROTOPAX Tanks also carry an important distinction: they are the only rotationally molded containers that are both EPA and CARB compliant and available for sale in the United States. That matters if you care about doing things right. The specialty plastic barrier material meets strict government permeability requirements, so fumes stay inside the tank where they belong.
Each tank comes with a sure-seal gasket that keeps the spout tight. No leaks. No fuel smell soaking into your gear.
You have options. Our ROTOPAX Tank and Installation Kit comes in 2 sizes:
The 1 Gallon version works great as a backup reserve. It keeps a small emergency supply on the vehicle without taking up much space. Dimensions run 13.50″ wide by 15.00″ tall by 3.5″ deep.
The 2 Gallon version is our most popular option. It holds enough fuel to make a real difference on longer runs. It measures 17 3/4″ long by 13 1/4″ wide by 3″ high. Both kits are made in the USA.
A good tank means nothing if it mounts poorly. A fuel container bouncing around under your seat is a safety problem, not a solution.
That’s where our TKO Roll Bar Clamps come in. Every ROTOPAX Tank Kit from TKO Clamping Systems includes 2 TKO Roll Bar Clamps, the DLX or Locking Pack Mount, all hardware, and the spout. Everything you need ships together.
Our clamps fit roll bars from 1.5″ up to 2.5″. We also accommodate uncommon sizes like the 1.85″ found on the Can-Am. You choose silver satin or black finish. You choose locking or non-locking. You pick the roll bar size. We take care of the rest.
No specialty tools required. A standard Phillips screwdriver handles the install in most cases.
We also strongly recommend mounting your fuel tank on the inside of the roll cage. That placement protects the tank during a rollover. Safety first, always.
Maybe you already own a ROTOPAX Tank. In that case, you do not need the full kit. Our Deluxe or Locking Pack Mount Kit has everything needed to attach your existing tank to a roll bar. It starts at $100 for the Deluxe version and $125 for the Locking version. It includes 2 TKO Roll Bar Clamps and all mounting hardware.
The locking version adds a security latch. That keeps your tank right where you put it, even on rough terrain.
Summer adventures push your vehicle harder and farther. Trails get longer. Rides go deeper. The gap between your last fill-up and the next one gets wider.
Running out of fuel in summer heat is more than inconvenient. It can be genuinely dangerous depending on where you ride.
A ROTOPAX Tank mounted to your roll bar costs far less than a rescue. It adds serious peace of mind. And with our complete kits starting at $185, it is one of the smartest upgrades you can make before the season gets going.

What is a ROTOPAX Tank used for?
A ROTOPAX Tank stores extra fuel on your UTV, Jeep, SXS, ATV, or any roll bar vehicle. It mounts securely to the roll cage and keeps spare gasoline accessible on the trail. Riders use them as emergency reserves or extended range fuel on longer trips where gas stations are not nearby.
Are ROTOPAX Tanks safe to use on off-road vehicles?
Yes. ROTOPAX Tanks use a patented 3-layer roto-molding process that creates leak-proof walls and a sure-seal gasket on the spout. They are the only rotationally molded fuel containers that are both EPA and CARB compliant for sale in the United States. For added safety, always mount the tank on the inside of the roll cage to protect it during a rollover, and vent the tank once per day if elevation or temperature changes significantly.
What size ROTOPAX Tank should I get?
The 2 Gallon version is our most popular choice. It provides enough fuel to make a meaningful difference on longer rides without adding excessive bulk. The 1 Gallon version works well as a compact emergency reserve. Your choice depends on how far you typically ride and how much space you have on your roll bar.
